Dublin - Transport Information

Getting From the Airport to the City

Dublin International Airport is situated just 7 miles north of the city centre. Bus, taxi or car are the best ways to get there.

Taxi
Taxis are readily available from the designated taxi rank just outside the arrivals terminal. You can expect to pay between €15 - €20 from the airport to the city centre, although there may be extra charges for additional passengers, luggage, public holidays, etc.

Car Parking

There are over 18,000 car parking spaces available at Dublin Airport, with both long and short term parking options. All car parks are in operation 24 hours a day.

Aircoach
The Aircoach service runs 24 hours, and operates every day from the city centre to and from the airport. Tickets are purchased from the driver at cost of around €6 - €10. The service stops at some of the major hotels.

Getting Around

Dublin is a very easy city to get around on foot, as it is fairly compact and most of the attractions are within a short walk of each other. For sights further away, the bus service is cheap and efficient and links all parts of the city, while taxis are abundant and reasonably priced.
