I was Upgraded to an appartment No 4, but there was a constant loud noise from Heating or water equipment in the hall immediately below the apt. I went to the night manager to complain, this entailed dressing and going out into the street to gain entry to the main hotel. He came to listen agreed that the noise was bad but was unable to contact the maintenance officer. I complanied again on departure but the response was that the maintenance was on order but had not been done.I left a note for the manager complaining of this but he has not responded.
A pleasant enjoyable day in Dublin with old friends was spoled by a poor nights rest/sleep. My friend from Kenya also had a disturbed night as the premises also contain a hostel and the clientiele were noisy and using washing machines all night etc. The hotel has notices about being quiet but these are ineffective. A lot to see in Dublin within a short walking distance from this Hotel.

The room was very basic and the bathroom was in a very poor condition. Breakfast was ok but only offered scrambled egg as a hot alternative to the cold buffet. The location of Browns is the main plus point a 10 minute walk into Temple Bar. For the price, the accomodation should have been in a lot better condition

The reception staff were not friendly or helpful, one lady the one with the red hair was nice as was the kitchen staff, the recpetion staff did not show interst in the guests, on our first day there, one staff member walked straight into our room, after a long journey we were asleep during the day when we were woken up by a man who insisted on us answering, he couldn't speak any english, so we still dont know who he was to this day, then again we were woken up by someone asking if we wanted towels, (It was our first day). So althoguh the rooms were clean the staff need to be more guest friendly.

There were several nice restaurants in temple bar area. The price of drinks generally were expensive, but Dublin is lovely. We took the dart train to a wee place called Bray, a lovely little seaside town, please go people are very friendly and banter great.

This is a basic hotel but in a good location for the centre of Dublin 10mins walk from Temple Bar area.Beds are clean but maintenance and fittings and fixture in the rooms is poor as is the standard of decoration. But for the price and location it is acceptable and recommended if you just want a hotel to sleep, shower and have breakfast.

It should not be classified as an hotel as it is only a bed & breakfas stablishment. The roon was a basement room with a window looking out at a dirty area with used plastic coffee cups & rubbish not removed in our 3 day stay. I am writing to the Tourist Board & Browns management

Head towards Temple Bar if you are under 50 years, otherwise O'Shaes 300 metres down the same street as Brwns provides very good food. The Guinness trip is worthwhile, The National Gallery is very good & the 'Hop On - Hop Off' bus trip is a must.

The hotel was reasonable for a short stay, however there where no hot drink facilities in the rooms, but a free machine in the lounge/dining area. The staff were however very pleasent and polite. Breakfast was a little less entertaining with a choice of toast or scrambled egg on toast. I dont think I would book here again when on a business trip, or private visit to Ireland.

Arlington Hotel off O'Connell Street, great night out with live music and irish dancing. Fitzimmons in Temple Bar fun and friendly environment. Citi Hotel for a meal, very enjoyable.
