The Paramount Hotel is conveniently located on Parliament Street in the heart of Temple Bar's West End. The medieval district is just seconds away and travelers can access the City Hall, Dublin Castle, and Christchurch Cathedral in less than a minute's walk. The hotel itself has two entrances. One is through its Turks Head Bar and the other one is at the end of Exchange Street Upper, on the right (just off Parliament Street and Dame Street.) Being in the West End of the Temple Bar area means that you do not need to search too long for a pub or restaurant. For shopping the nearest places would be either Grafton Street, which is 4 minutes' walk from the hotel, or Henry Street, which is just off O'Connell Street. If you are arriving at the hotel by Airlink coach then the nearest stop is Trinity College, 10 minutes' walk away. The distance from the airport is 10 kilometres. Getting a taxi there will cost you roughly 25 Euro and will take 25 to 30 minutes. In general, the hotel is situated on a lively area surrounded by numerous shops, restaurants and pubs.

The Paramount Hotel is a modern property which opened in 1999. The small, dimly lit lobby features marble floors and is furnished with dark brown leather sofas. On the right hand side of the reception desk there's a hall that leads to the Turks Head Bar. Elsewhere, the colour scheme of the hotel features predominantly chocolate brown tones, which lend it a trendy yet warm contemporary feel. This boutique style would suit travelers who like modern design and fashionable hotels.
