Hotel was lovely but was disappointed that our room wasn't ready on arrival when we had rang hotel in advance to request that the room would be ready as we had a very early start to our journey there that morning. We were sent away twice but were offered a drink as an apology. Room was nice apart from half painted wardrobes, think room was in middle of facelift. No bisuits with tea and coffe in room, which you would expect in a hotel like this. Breakfast was excellent and served until 11.30am which was a bonus, also check out time was at 12 which is unusual. When checking out we were told that we'd had chocolate from the minibar which was untrue, so not sure what had gone on there.Nice hotel with nice touches but let down by other not so good touches which wouldn't bother me if we hadn't paid as much as we did.
Top Tip:
Powerscourt Centre is worth a visit with a impressive food hall and shops. Very deceiving from outside. Two minutes walk from hotel going in direction of Grafton street.59 South William Street, the large building with steps leading up to it and wonderful smell coming from it! If fancy a change from touristy pubs in Temple Bar then try Dawson Street, parallel to Grafton Street, especially Cafe en Siene for lunch and drinks on night.
