The bar is rather impersonal, other than that it suited our purpose-I would have liked to\ enjoy an after dinner drink in the bar & socialise a bit, but the layout makes it rather anti social
I would rate as 3 star

As the hotel rates went up after the time of booking, the hotel receptionist tried to tell my boyfriend and his father that breakfast was no longer included in the price - although the confirmation clearly states bed and breakfast included. My boyfriend and I have worked in the hospitality industry for many many years, the staff need to realise that they cannot do this

Could have more private facilities for the actual guests of the hotel, as visitors took over the hotel on the saturday night, after the Wales and Ireland International

Although we were housed on the 4th floor we experienced a lot of noise, especially early in the morning, from the service area situated at the back of the hotel. We found the waiting staff at breakfast time a bit surly and there were long delays in clearing used plates from tables. Having said that, the hotel was very busy. Dead central in reach of all the main tourist sights and a great place to people watch. Great parking as part of the hotel facility.
Top Tip
Every nationality you can think of passes through it's doors and half of Ireland must meet up there at some point! Plenty of available buses and taxis within easy reach as well as the excellent Dublin Tour Bus.

Check in time is 3o' clock. As we were travelling with a baby we would liked to have been able to check in a bit earlier around 1 o' clock but that wasn't allowed. We found this quite inconvenient.
We forgot to make dinner reservations for that evening and when we visited the restaurant that night we were told it was fully booked even though the restaurant was half empty. After some enquiries, another member of staff informed us that the restaurant only has enough staff on duty to cater for reservations made so that was why they told us they were fully booked even though there were loads of empty tables.Again we were travelling with a baby and it was pouring rain the same night so it was extremely inconvenient to have to leave the hotel to try to find somewhere else to eat. It's supposed to be a 3 to 4 star hotel and on checking in we felt someone could have reminded us about dinner reservations, especially as they have this policy of having limited numbers of staff on duty.We have never yet stayed in any hotel where we failed to be able to get dinner. We felt very disappointed about this.Ok we should have made reservations but it slipped our minds. And as I said we have never encountered this situation before where one couldn't get to eat in a restaurant in a hotel where they are resident for the night. We especially felt under the circumstances (pouring rain, young baby) they could have maybe stretched themselves a little.
